Frequently Asked Questions

When is Paws in the Park?

The 16th Annual Paws in the Park is on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Kit Carson Park in Escondido

Is there a registration fee?

Yes.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION:
$10: Adults (ages 18+)
$5: Children (ages 17 and under)
$5: Cat Nappers (individuals who are raising funds but not attending Paws in the Park)

Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising total?

Yes! Your registration fee, although it is not tax-deductible, does count towards your overall fundraising total. Therefore it also counts towards earning prizes.

Can I bring my pets?

Friendly, on-leash dogs are welcome. Please keep in mind that over 1,000 dogs will be in attendance, so we do not recommend bringing other types of pets.

Can I bring my children and can they participate?

Paws in the Park is a family-friendly event and children are welcome in all areas. All participants must register online or by printed form. Youth participants are also welcome to fundraise.

What if I cannot attend Paws in the Park but I want to raise funds?

Attendance on the day of the walk is not required. If you cannot attend, you may still register online as a Cat Napper and use the website tools to raise funds, or use a printed pledge form to raise money. Registered Cat Nappers will receive a commemorative 2015 Paws in the Park t-shirt in the mail after the walk.

How are prizes awarded to team members?

Team members qualify for individual fundraising prizes based on their individual fundraising achievements. Team members are encouraged to register and raise money on their own. If a team raises money together by holding a team event (such as a bake sale), a San Diego Humane Society staff member can apply the proceeds to the team's fundraising total OR proceeds can be applied to each of the team member's individual fundraising totals. Please email walk@sdhumane.org or call 619.243.3493 for assistance.

How do I print out my gift history list?

In your Participant Center, click 'Progress' then click 'download personal donation list' under 'Donations History' at the bottom of the page. Bring this with you to the walk as proof of your online donations.
