Renee Harris, RVT Senior Vice-President of Animal Services
As Senior Vice-President of Animal Services at the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, Renee oversees 100 employees in the Animal Receiving & Transfer, Animal Care, Adoptions, Veterinary Services, and Behavior and Training Departments. She joined the San Diego Humane Society in 2002 with 28 years of animal care and welfare experience, including the development and implementation of shelter fostering programs at three separate facilities.
Renee's family includes her life-long partner, a teenage son, a bloodhound, two Chihuahua mixes and four cats. All pets, of course, were adopted from a shelter, including one that started out as a foster. In her spare time Renee enjoys spending time with her family, quilting, reading, baking/cooking, watching sci-fi movies, photography, genealogy, and traveling.
