You are eligible to participate in the Humane Society’s Benefit Plan if you are regularly scheduled to work 32 hours or more per week. Under the plan, you have choices in medical, dental, vision, long-term disability (LTD), life insurance, supplemental life insurance and accident coverage (AD&D). Health care and dental care are also offered under the plan.
The Humane Society covers the cost of your benefits. If you have dependents, you pay an additional amount to cover your dependents’ medical, dental and vision plans.
Coverage is effective on the first day of the month following 90 days from your hire date. Enrollment elections may be changed during open enrollment each year in December. New dependents may be added due to marriage, establishment of a same sex domestic partnership, birth or adoption of a child if a request is made in writing within 30 days of the event.
