Lost an Animal?
The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA cares for stray animals found in the city of Oceanside and Vista. This search should be utilized if you have lost an animal in or around these areas as it will display animals that have been brought into the shelter as strays.
This search does not display animals that have been reported to the shelter as found by a member of the public. Please contact the appropriate number listed below to see if anyone has contacted the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA about finding an animal that matches yours.
The stray hold time for animals in the care of the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is four (4) days. Animals that are not claimed within the 4 day holding period may be made available for adoption. If your animal has been lost for 4 days or longer and you don't see them listed in your search, please check our Adoption Page.
In addition to your searches, if the animal was lost in the city of Oceanside or Vista, please contact the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA to report the animal as Lost in case a member of the public reports that they have found your animal.
