Happy Hour Lecture Series & Workshops

Each month the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA holds Happy Hour Lectures on interesting topics related to pets and pet parenting.  We also hold workshops on more in-depth topics. Each lecture includes materials, light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Proceeds benefit the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA. Note: All classes are for humans only.

First Aid for Dogs and Cats
Date: Sunday, March 10
Time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Location: North Campus at 572 Airport Road, Oceanside, CA 92058
Cost: The class covers both dog and cat issues for $60 per person and includes either a Dog or Cat Pet First Aid Handbook (you choose the species that you want or pay $80 for both books) and Pet First Aid certification.

The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, is pleased to offer a Pet First Aid certification class. This four-hour class includes suggested treatments for choking or breathing difficulties, possible broken bones, shock, poisoning or snakebites, carsickness or temperature illnesses, and more.

Guinea Pig 101

In conjunction with Adopt a Guinea Pig month, Wee Companions will be presenting a free lecture on general care and needs of guinea pigs and small companions, enrichment & training, and to what to watch for in terms of health.
