Youth Art Contest

Students in grades K through 12 are invited to create a poster, poem, or video that celebrates animals. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges from San Diego Humane Society.

Birthday PupsBirthday Parties

Kids enjoy fun games, crafts, and animal interactions in a privately reserved room at the campus of your choice. Please give us at least two weeks' notice.

Looking for a fun program for your child? San Diego Humane Society has interactive storytimes. Your child will love our stories, crafts, animal friends, and more! Private story times can also be arranged for groups at the campus of your choice.

Scouts with a bearded dragonScouts and Group Tours

Guided tours are available for groups of all sizes and ages. Bring your class, after-school group, or your Boy or Girl Scout troop for a behind-the-scenes tour of our campus. These interactive tours explore our state-of-the-art facility and offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at our programs and services. We work with scout groups on community service projects and badge requirements as well.

Can't bring your students to us? We'll bring our resources to you! In addition to our on-site programs, we can bring lessons to your location. We can tailor programs for all age groups with lessons focusing on issues such as Dog Bite Prevention, Responsible Pet Care, Careers with Animals, and more.

Pawsitive Service: Youth Service Opportunities

Are you looking for a fun and educational way to make a difference? Are you trying to meet a community service goal for your school, civic group, church, or college applications? Do you want to help provide enrichment opportunities for animals during their stay at San Diego Humane Society?

Pawsitive Service is a program for youth ages 11-17 to fulfill community service requirements that is both educational to them and helpful to San Diego Humane Society! Opportunities are available for private groups or individuals.

Pet PalsPet Pals

Children ages 6-12 can join us one Friday a month to meet and learn about our animal friends! Parents are welcome to stay with their child throughout the session but are not required to.
