The San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has more than 450 professional and allied members and is part of the oldest and largest organization of professional interior designers in the world. “Dog Digs and Cat Cribs” is part of the chapter’s Community Service program, which has benefited many San Diego nonprofit organizations.  ASID helps protect the health, safety, and welfare of consumers by encouraging and requiring members to keep abreast of evolving technologies, regulations and safety issues. Professional membership is earned through accredited education, years of qualifying experience and postgraduate examinations.

ASID is a community of people—designers, industry representatives, educators and students—committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives.
