Bolt’s 10-Day Adoption Challenge
The San Diego Humane Society is on a 10-day Challenge to Find a Home for Bolt in Honor of National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month
SAN DIEGO — October is “National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month” and in honor of this month the San Diego Humane Society is initiating “Bolt’s 10-Adoption Challenge”. Bolt is a loving German Shepherd who has been in the San Diego Humane Society’s care for one year this month. Bolt is a larger-than-life dog that warms the hearts of everyone that he meets. The San Diego Humane Society’s staff and volunteers would love nothing more than to find Bolt the loving home that he deserves so they are challenging the community to spread the word about Bolt.
“From October 21 – 31 we’re asking for the community to join in Bolt’s 10-day Adoption Challenge by helping us find the home that Bolt deserves,” said Kelli Herwehe of the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA. “Somewhere out there is the perfect family for Bolt, and we’re on a 10-day challenge to find that person or family!”

About Bolt
Bolt is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix who is hoping for fresh start at life with a loving family and home. This handsome boy came to the San Diego Humane Society one year ago as a stray and has won over the hearts of everyone he’s encountered. With a gorgeous brown and black coat, striking eyes and perky ears, he is truly larger than life. Bolt is a gentle giant who loves human affection and attention. He will do well in a variety of homes, including a home with children.
Bolt came to us with hip dysplasia, a condition that requires very basic care. Bolt is happy and healthy and leads a great quality of life today. He is a resilient dog who loves to share his love and heart of gold. During the adoption process, a Humane Society Veterinarian will be present to discuss Bolt’s medical history and share how to best care for this special guy in the future.
Our goal is to get Bolt adopted in the last 10 days of our ‘Fall in Love’ promotion, which offers a reduced adoption fee of just $25 for all animals. This adoption fee includes Bolt’s neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, and more!
