Moose's bio
If you're looking for a sweet pittie with a big smile and tons of energy, Moose may be the perfect boy for you! Moose absolutely loves to meet new people – so much so that this big ball of love sometimes gets so excited he may jump when greeting his new friends! Since Moose pulls a little on his leash, his new family should walk him on a front-clipping harness and continue his positive reinforcement training. Due to his considerable weight and excitable nature, Moose's new owners should be prepared to handle his strength and size.
When we found Moose as a stray, our medical team needed to remove several masses on his body. While masses on Moose's right hock and shoulder were benign and completely excised, we also found a mast cell tumor on his scrotum. However, once Moose was neutered in our care, this was entirely removed and we consider this to be a complete excision at this site. Still, Moose's new owners should consult their primary care veterinarian should any additional masses arise. We also suspect that Moose may have mild osteoarthritis in his elbow that should be monitored.
Moose is a kind and loving soul who cannot wait to find a new home to call his own. If you have any questions about Moose's medical needs, our medical team would be happy to discuss them with you. We sincerely appreciate adopters that are willing to provide special homes for dogs like Moose and we gladly waive the adoption fee.
