Important Update: Dog Owner Surrender Services on Hold

Due to incidents of a highly contagious respiratory disease affecting dogs in our care, all San Diego Humane Society campuses (including San Diego, El Cajon, Escondido and Oceanside locations) are pausing the intake of owner-surrendered dogs until Jan. 2, 2024, except in emergencies that threaten the health of the pet. We also request that all relinquishments of other species be made by appointment only. Fees for anyone picking up their lost dog from San Diego Humane Society are also waived through Jan. 2, 2024.
