Animal ID: 443254
Volunteer: Dana O.
Brownie and her BFF Envy (shown in one of the photos to the right) were brought in when their former owners split up and had to move, neither able to bring them along. The two American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador mixes are sweethearts and have been together since they were puppies. Though they are not technically bonded* we would be overjoyed if they could go to the same loving home.
While both members of this doggie duo are sweet and lovable, Brownie in particular has caught the eye of one of our Canine Companion volunteers, Dana. Read on to see what Dana has to say about Brownie, who she has chosen as her volunteer pick…
What do you like best about her personality?
“She plays like a puppy! It’s adorable.”
What first drew you to your pick?
“Brownie has the sweetest disposition. She’s such a lovable lady.”
Is there something special about the way your pick looks?
“Her white face, neck and boots go nicely with her chocolate body. She stands out in a crowd.”
What is her coolest/silliest/most unique trait?
“Brownie dances around after fetching a toy or a ball. It is too cute! You would never know that she’s five years old.”
Anything else you’d like to add?
“Brownie can be a little guarded when she first meets someone but just throw a toy for her to run after and she blossoms into a fun-loving pup right before your eyes. She loves to play but also loves to snuggle and chill out. She has been patiently waiting for a family of her own for quite some time and she will make someone very happy.”
Brownie is currently residing in a foster home. Please give us a call at (619) 299-7012 to arrange an intro with this sweet treat!
*Animals who are bonded need to be adopted into the same home, as they rely on each other to thrive and be their healthiest and happiest selves.
