We all know that an eclair is a super sweet treat, so it comes as no surprise that it’s also the namesake of a very lovable pooch currently available for adoption at our Oceanside Campus.
4-year-old Eclair has an adoring, mellow nature that has our staff and volunteers seeing hearts whenever she’s around. One such volunteer is canine companion, Robert. He shares more about this sweetheart of a doggie and why he’s chosen her as his volunteer pick:
What do you like best about her personality?
“Eclair is a very calm and well-behaved dog both in public and in her kennel. It is really something special.”
What first drew you to your pick?
“Everyone thought Eclair would be a very scared, shy dog, but it was because she was so calm and well-mannered that she appeared to be reserved around people. It’s just her sweet, un-pushy nature.”
Is there something special about the way your pick looks?
“Eclair’s physical features reminded me of another dog that used to be here at the Oceanside Campus. Almost exactly! She’s adorable.”
What is her coolest/silliest/most unique trait?
“Eclair is always making eye-contact with you, as if to make sure you are happy with her.”
Anything else you’d like to add about your pick?
“Eclair is a great walking companion, and she appears to be house-trained, too. Eclair always comes to you when you call her or get down on your knees. She doesn’t appear to be overly reactive to any animals, and is very respectful of people, never jumping on them. Eclair is always patient when leaving the kennel and obediently returns there after walks. She really is a wonderful dog.”
