Felicity – Her name says it all!

Animal ID: 193001

Volunteer: Ann R.

The word “felicity” means “intense happiness.” Well, there was never a more perfect name for this very special 8-year old doggie currently available for adoption at our Sherman Street Campus. Canine Companion volunteer, Ann, can attest to this sweet pooch’s ability to both embody and inspire in others the intense happiness her name suggests. Here’s some more of what Ann finds special about Felicity, and why she chose her as her volunteer pick:

What do you like best about her personality?
“Felicity is smart, friendly, affectionate and can be goofy all at the same time.”

What first drew you to your pick?
“The ease with which she became comfortable with me.”

Is there something special about the way your pick looks?
“She’s an adorable light brown American Staffy with a little gray in her muzzle.”

What is her coolest/silliest/most fun trait?
“How affectionately she’ll sprawl all over me to snuggle or curl up with me when we are just hanging out. ”

Anything else you’d like to add?
“We go on Canine Adventures* and she’s PERFECT in the car, a delight to walk with in the park, and such a happy dog. Super sweet, too.”

Felicity is currently available for adoption at our Sherman Street campus, which is only open to the public on select weekends. Please come by our San Diego Campus (at 5500 Gaines, which is just a couple blocks from the Sherman Campus) to arrange an intro, or you can give us a come and meet this sweetheart today!

*This is a program in which our volunteers take shelter dogs out on “adventures,” like hikes or long walks far away from the shelter environment, where they can experience new sights and smells, and make new friends, too. Ann and Felicity have been on a number of “Canine Adventures” together, including trips to Old Town and Balboa Park!
