Canine Companion volunteer, Chelly, loves Pita so much that she even provided a description of what “Pita” stands for as an acronym…
Pretty & Perky
Adorable & affectionate
Here’s some more of what Chelly thinks is so special about this nearly 2-year old American Staffordshire Terrier…
What do you like best about her personality?
“Pita is very interactive.”
What first drew you to your pick?
“Pita is a very pretty young lady – white with a big round brown spot on her back and Dalmatian like spots all over.”
Is there something special about the way your pick looks?
“(see above) Very sweet eyes that just say “I Love You, please come pet me.”
What is her coolest/silliest/most fun trait?
“Pita is so very intelligent and curious and wants so much to please. I have worked on WAGS training with her and she is getting very good at sit, down, stay, come, starting to do rollovers for belly rubs, etc. She is playful and loves to be petted, even wants to climb in my lap to be petted. Still a bit mouthy but seems to be getting better and is always gentle. Very sweet girl. ”
Anything else you’d like to add?
“She is SO interactive with volunteers – very affectionate and LOVES to be petted and show her love back. She always seems happy. Does not seem to like other dogs but would be a very loving and loyal companion for adult(s). If I did not have dogs already, I would love to adopt PITA.”
Pita is currently available for adoption at our San Diego Campus located at 5500 Gaines Street – come on by and meet this sweet gal today!
