Sandy: Something Special

Animal ID: 170216

Volunteer: Deanna S.

Sandy is a 4-year old American Short Hair who came to us as a stray. Despite having some wounds and scratches that suggested life on the streets had not always been so kind to her, Sandy was incredibly sweet from the get-go. It’s not surprising, then, that she would quickly become a favorite around our Escondido Campus. Nowadays, you’d never know this beauty of feline came from a rough start, and although she has tested positive for FIV, Sandy is in great health and can’t wait to find a home where she can spend her days giving and receiving lots of love. Cat Companion volunteer, Deanna, absolutely loves Sandy’s affectionate personality and was eager to share more about her volunteer pick…

What do you like best about her personality?
Sandy is sweet and gentle. She enjoys cuddling and pets.

What first drew you to your pick?
She meows for attention. She has been her for a while and she is just SO sweet.

Is there something special about the way your pick looks?
She’s a tortoiseshell color with beautiful green eyes.

What is her coolest/silliest/most fun trait?
Sandy pats her paw out of her condo for attention. She likes to play with the “wire” mouse and laser light.

Anything else you’d like to add?
She is FIV positive, but is healthy and will make a wonderful pet!

Sandy is currently available for adoption at our Escondido Campus. Come on by today – she can’t wait to meet you!
