Whitney is a sweet, sensitive soul for whom the busy and sometimes loud shelter environment can be challenging. Because of this, the four-year-old beauty is currently residing in the Communications office away from the public eye, where she is becoming braver and more comfortable every day. Whitney would do best in a quiet home where she’ll be given the time she needs to adjust and feel safe. Once she gets to know you, she will show you what an incredibly sweet and affectionate kitty she really is.
Staff member Nicki is currently sharing her office with Whitney and is quite smitten. Here’s what she has to say about her employee pick…
What do you like best about Whitney’s personality?
“She’s so gentle and loving.”
What first drew you to your pick?
“She loves pets all over. A perfect cat therapy animal!”
Is there something special about the way your pick looks?
“She has a beautiful coat with distinctive markings.”
What is her coolest/silliest/most unique trait?
“She always comes out when I’m eating and will eat her own food. Talk about a social eater! She also acts like a scaredy cat with all of the office noises and commotion, but she’ll be brave when she knows she’ll get pets and attention. When it’s quiet, she’s plopped right down in my lap.”
Anything else you’d like to add?
“She’s really come out of her shell with the people she sees most. She’ll touch noses (as a cat greeting), she loves treats and she let us clip her claws. She’s always the most gentle lady. I can’t wait for someone to take her home and watch her blossom!”
Can you give Whitney a home where she can truly blossom? Come on by our San Diego Campus to meet Whitney today!
