Sometimes the greatest gifts we get come from the giving we do.
I chose San Diego Humane Society to be a recipient of a bequest under my will.
Years ago, I would occasionally donate to San Diego Humane Society, but that all changed with the opening of their new facility. It began when I attended a festive parade of animals starting at their old location on Sherman Street and stretching to their new Gaines Street home. The new facility was absolutely beautiful and captured my imagination.
Since then, I’ve been volunteering every Saturday for more than five years, and I also help out at Doggie Cafe and other special events.
San Diego Humane Society is a great organization, one that I love and respect. I am glad that I can make a difference by leaving a gift from my estate to continue to fulfill the organization’s mission: to inspire compassion.
