(Part 1) San Diego
Does your dog run away when you try to clean their ears? are they scared when you pull out the nail clippers?Do they look uncomfortable when you try to brush or restrain them? If so then Level 1: Wag More, Struggle Less is for you! This course focuses on teaching skills to both you and your dog that will help make basic care easier and even fun!
-Your dog must be able to sit and down in a classroom setting
COURSE TOPICS INCLUDE:
-Creating a positive experience for grooming or handling your dog
-handling all parts of your dog’s body
Dog Ages: 18 weeks or older
Schedule: 5 weekly classes 50 minutes in length
-Proof of Rabies Vaccination required
-Dogs must be manageable in presence of other dogs
-Dogs must be non-aggressive towards people
-Animals adopted from San Diego Humane Society will receive 20% off Wag More, Struggle Less classes.
-Adopters must create a profile online and call 619-299-7012 ext 2247 to receive discounted rate. Adopter’s must provide their animal’s identification number, given by San Diego Humane Society, when registering.
-Classes maybe held indoors and or outdoors at our San Diego campus on Gaines Street
-Preregistration is required
San Diego Humane Society group training classes are for friendly dogs and their owners. San Diego Humane Society only uses positive training methods and training tools including the use of food as a reward. We do not support the use of aversive training tools such as choke chains, prong collars, and shock collars.
San Diego Humane Society group training classes are not meant for:
-Dogs who seriously injured a person or another animal.
