New Class Offerings Coincide with “National Train Your Dog Month” in January
SAN DIEGO – January 14, 2015 | San Diego Humane Society and Leash Your Fitness are teaming up to host the largest dog friendly yoga event that ever existed. On Sunday, January 25, more than 250 people and their canines are expected to participate in this unique event, which will break the Guinness World Record for the most people and dogs doing yoga together in one place. San Diego Humane Society will have adoptable dogs present to lend a hand – er, paw – at setting a new world record.
Dawn Celapino of Leash Your Fitness will be leading the yoga class. “With the New Year upon us, there is a renewed focus on health and wellness goals, which is wonderful. But we believe those goals should include your pet, too. Both Leash Your Fitness and San Diego Humane Society promote the importance of the human-animal bond, so we wanted to host this special community event together to show people that the bond you have with your dog can be amplified when you include them in your fitness activities. Working out together is easy, fun and yields a multitude of health benefits for both you and your beloved pup. We are excited to celebrate this with the community at our yoga event. And we will be making history while we do it, which makes this event even more special.”
