Tina has three decades of experience in human resources (HR) management, developing extensive expertise in the principles, practices and strategies that drive effective HR operations. Her areas of specialization include strategic alignment, workforce relations, succession planning, talent management, talent development and employee engagement. She positions HR as a strategic partner by implementing programs, policies and practices that align with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
Tina holds a bachelor’s in psychology from San Diego State University and is nationally certified by HRCI as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), nationally certified by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP), has a certificate in human resources management from UCSD and completed UCSD Extension’s Human Resources Leadership Program.
Tina has held various leadership roles in human resources, supporting and driving initiatives to render positive organizational results while creating an exciting environment to facilitate innovation, a high-performing workforce and ways to make work fun!
At SDHS, Tina also leads Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, fostering a culture where every voice is heard, valued and respected. She is dedicated to creating an environment where employees feel a true sense of belonging and diversity — in all its definitions — is celebrated and honored.
