Join Us In Lifesaving Collaboration
Our goals are the same: to find homes for the animals in our care. We value our Rescue Partners and are committed to working with local rescues to find homes for animals as quickly as possible.
It’s easy to become a Rescue Partner with us!
We aspire for strong collaboration with rescue partners and other shelters to save animal lives throughout our community. San Diego Humane Society cares for companion animals at four campuses located in San Diego, El Cajon, Escondido and Oceanside.
Each campus has a team dedicated to working with our colleagues in the rescue community. We welcome all inquiries from our rescue partners and invite your organization to become an official Rescue Partner with SDHS, which offers several benefits. #RescueWithSDHS
we also work as a rescue group!"
San Diego Humane Society transferred in nearly 1400 animals from other animal shelters in the last two years, so we realize the importance of maintaining clear, consistent communication and protocols.
We work toward continuous improvement on best ways to communicate and coordinate animal transfers between us and our animal welfare colleagues, always striving to find the best possible solutions for all animals.
If you have suggestions on how we can continue improving collaboration and communication, please reach out to Director, Rescue and San Diego Campus, Sarah Thompson at [email protected]
Please review our Rescue Partner Promises and complete the corresponding Rescue Partner Questionnaire. Our Rescue team will be in touch to assist you through the process. Questions? Please send them to [email protected]
