What do you like best about Goldie's personality? Goldie has grown so much over his time here. He came from a house with many other cats, but always seemed to keep to himself. Once in the shelter, Goldie was very fearful and was very skeptical of people. Over time, he has grown to be a vocal, outgoing, playful and expressive companion.
What first drew you to your pick? Goldie has been here for a while. When he first came in, he was shy and did not come out of hiding until he was by himself. He would watch people from his hiding places and has made amazing progress — now he asks for pets and chirps when his people come to visit!
Is there something special about the way your pick looks or behaves? Goldie has a unique look. He has a bit of an overbite, which makes him look a little Simpsons-like. One of our animal care staff will sometimes refer to him as 'Homer'. Goldie doesn't seem to mind :)
What is his coolest/silliest/most unique trait? Goldie has a beautiful coat and stoic expression, making him appear regal and reserved. His high-pitched baby meow makes it sound like he is always asking a question. He is very vocal and expressive with people now and knows how to ask for his food!
