- Secure enclosures: Make sure your home’s doors, windows and yard are secure, and don’t leave your pet outside unattended. Find more tips to safely keep your pet secured in your home or yard.
- Spay/neuter: Spaying or neutering your pet can lessen their urge to wander off and stray from home. Check out our Community Spay and Neuter Services and additional low-cost resources!
- Plan for parties: If you’ll have guests coming in and out of your home, make sure to set up a secure space where they won’t be able to slip through opening doors.
- Holiday safety: The noise of major holidays like July Fourth and New Year’s Eve can frighten pets and cause them to flee. Create a secure indoor space for your pet and provide comforting items to help reduce stress. Check out our holiday safety tips or training tips to reduce your pet’s fear of loud noises!
