Important Update: Temporary Change to Dog Owner Surrender Services

Due to incidents of distemper in our shelter, which are currently at capacity, all San Diego Humane Society campuses are not scheduling appointments for owner relinquished animals until Feb. 1, except in cases of emergency. You can learn more about this temporary change, browse our available resources or contact us to help. Thank you for your understanding.

Special Hours: Wednesday, Feb. 1

San Diego Humane Society will be opening at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, because of an all-staff meeting.

To report an in-progress animal emergency, please call 619-299-7012 (press 1).

If you find a stray animal, please visit our Lost & Found page for assistance.
