As part of our efforts to raise crucial funds to save animal lives, you may receive a call from professional telefundraisers trained and managed by DV Canvass or Gateway Communications, Inc. These companies have been contracted to work on San Diego Humane Society's behalf to reach out to community members who have adopted from and/or donated to our organization in the past.

While some individuals will be asked for one-time donations, many of our telefundraising efforts are focused on recruiting new Constant Companion monthly donors — some of our most dedicated supporters who make a lifesaving difference for animals all year long by providing the consistent, reliable contributions we need to care for more than 40,000 pets and wildlife.

Here's how you'll know you're speaking with an authorized San Diego Humane Society fundraiser from either DV Canvass or Gateway Communications, Inc.:

• They will either call from or be able to call you back from 619-867-0377, 619-866-4349 or 619-673-8966 (DV Canvass) or 619-317-0514, 619-317-1506, or 619-345-3672 (Gateway Communications).
• They will identify themselves as working on behalf of San Diego Humane Society.
• They will use the term “Constant Companion,” which refers to San Diego Humane Society’s monthly donor program and is unique to our organization.
